Ethica and Zapier

Keep your employee list in step with your HR system

When someone joins, changes role or leaves, a Zap updates them in Ethica. Ethica assigns their training by role, sends it, and follows up until it's done.

What it does

Create Employee

Adds a new hire with their name and email, and their hire date, role and language if you have them. Their Smart Assignments run straight away, so their training goes out without anyone opening Ethica.

Update Employee

Finds someone by their email and changes their name, email, hire date, role or language. Fields you leave empty stay as they are. A new role assigns that role's training.

Deactivate Employee

Finds someone by their email and deactivates them. Ethica stops sending them training and reminders, keeps their records, and frees their seat. Update Employee can bring them back if they return.

Example Zaps

Set it up

  1. Select Add Ethica to Zapier and accept the invitation in Zapier.
  2. Create a Zap. Choose the trigger, such as a new employee in your HR system, then add an Ethica action.
  3. Sign in to Ethica when Zapier asks, and allow access.
  4. Match your fields to Ethica's, test the step and turn on the Zap.
Add Ethica to Zapier

Any admin in your Ethica account can connect. Role menus in Zapier list the roles you've set up under Team, then Roles.

What it can see

Completions in other apps

To send completed training to another app, your account owner can add a webhook under Settings, API & Webhooks, and catch it with Zapier's Webhooks by Zapier trigger. The API documentation describes each event.

Need help?

If a Zap can't connect or a step fails, email hello@getethica.com and we'll sort it out.

Send the training and notices, and keep the proof

Ethica emails each person their training or notice, follows up until it's done, and keeps a dated record you can export.
