Step 1 of 3: Add your training
How to assign training that's hosted on another website
Add a requirement, choose Course on another website, and paste the course link. Employees open the course from Ethica, finish it on the other site, then upload the certificate it gives them. The certificate is saved to their record.
Steps
- 1 Go to Requirements and click Add Requirement.
- 2 Choose Course on another website and name it.
- 3 Paste the link to the course.
- 4 Optionally add instructions for employees and an estimated time.
- 5 Click Create Requirement, then assign it like any other training.
Good to know
- Employees see two steps: open the training, then upload their certificate.
- Certificates can be a PDF or a photo, up to 10 MB.
- Uploading the certificate marks the training complete. You can view or download it from the assignment.
- This works for any course with a link, such as Microsoft Learn, a vendor portal, or an industry association.
- Someone already certified? Open their assignment, upload the certificate they have, and enter the date it was earned. Renewals count from that date.
- Set the requirement to repeat on the certificate's renewal cycle, such as every 2 or 3 years, and Ethica reassigns it and sends reminders before each one is due.
