Texas, United States
Texas requires hotels, motels and inns with more than 10 rooms to train every employee they directly employ in human trafficking awareness every year, and new hires within 90 days. The Attorney General's 22-minute training is on the state's approved list. Ethica assigns it, follows up until it's done, and keeps each certificate, which the law says you must hold for current and former employees.
Launch a course in Ethica and each employee gets an email with a link to the official course. When they finish, they upload the certificate it gives them, and it's kept on their record. Ethica sends the reminders and schedules the next round.
Tex. Bus. & Com. Code §§114.0051–114.0052
The Texas Attorney General's 22-minute human trafficking training for commercial lodging employees, with a certificate of completion.
Every rule below is easiest to prove with a record of who completed the training, and when. Ethica keeps that record for each person.
Tex. Bus. & Com. Code §§114.0051–114.0052
The law also requires a human trafficking sign at the establishment (Bus. & Com. Code §114.0053). The training doesn't cover that.
Start a free 30-day trial, launch the training, and add your team. Ethica handles delivery, reminders, and the records you'd have to produce.
Training published by the Office of the Attorney General of Texas. Ethica is not affiliated with or endorsed by the State of Texas.
