Ontario — Canada

Ontario compliance training, delivered and documented

Accessibility, health and safety awareness, and workplace violence and harassment — the courses Ontario requires, already built and ready to assign to your whole team in one click. Ethica delivers them and keeps the record that shows who completed what and when, for the day an inspector, an insurer, or a client's procurement team asks.

What Ontario requires

These mandates cover nearly every workplace in the province. Each has a dedicated ready-made course in Ethica.

Your obligations, and the proof each one demands

Every mandate below comes with a record you have to be able to produce. Ethica ships a ready-made course for each one and keeps the record it demands.

Accessibility (AODA) training

O. Reg. 191/11 (IASR), s. 7

Who and when
All employees and volunteers, as soon as practicable; again whenever your accessibility policies change
Proof to produce
A dated training record naming who was trained and when — required in writing for organizations with 50+ employees (O. Reg. 191/11, s. 7(4))

Worker health & safety awareness

O. Reg. 297/13, s. 1

Who and when
Every worker, as soon as practicable after starting work; one-time
Proof to produce
A training record you must keep, and written proof you must hand a worker on request for up to six months after they leave (O. Reg. 297/13, s. 5)

Supervisor health & safety awareness

O. Reg. 297/13, s. 2

Who and when
Every supervisor, within one week of performing work as a supervisor
Proof to produce
A training record dated inside the one-week window — the gap an inspector can spot fastest after a promotion or a new hire

Workplace violence & harassment

OHSA ss. 32.0.1–32.0.8 (Bill 168)

Who and when
Written policies reviewed at least annually, plus information and instruction for every worker including new hires
Proof to produce
A per-employee acknowledgment showing which version of the policy they saw and when — the evidence that information and instruction were actually provided
